Dr. Doshie Piper is a criminologist, professor, and restorative justice practitioner working at the intersection of faith, community, and criminal justice. As an Associate Professor at the University of the Incarnate Word and Restorative Justice Coordinator at Texas Organizing Project, her teaching and scholarship center on dismantling carceral systems and uplifting the voices of the marginalized.
Her public service and research emphasize reentry, juvenile justice, and community healing, with leadership roles in organizations such as the Texas Organizing Project, Collegium, and the City of San Antonio MLK Commission. She is also involved in Convict Criminology and the San Antonio Police Department Advisory Boards.
Through community partnerships, mentorship, and transformative justice work, she advocates for systemic change rooted in dignity, liberation, and love. Her upcoming book, Rethinking Reentry, and collaborative research continue to expand national and global conversations on justice reform.
